Zine #07: Starring Adannaya Uzor
Crisp and whimsical is not just the name of a folk band that someone should definitely start, it’s also the dual sides of Adayanna Uzor (aka Ada Elizabethh) magical makeup brush. The Canadian-based make up artist glides from low-key into glam seamlessly, keeping her audience obsessed with her videos and looks. Between her curiosity and passion, she’s become a great go to for both makeup and wigs.
When she was 14, she pushed herself to conquer the new brow craze on YouTube. Having been an artist for ages, illustration and painting, she had a support system ready to nurture her new passion. Quickly, she went from novice (“when I was younger around 12/13 I would always wear one single coloured eyeshadow and like put Vaseline on the tip of my nose 😂😂😂”) to natural. Now with the lockdown, she’s back to bedroom practice sessions but this time, we have the (amazing) videos to prove it! She swooped by for a fun DM Slide, check it out below and follow her!

We’ve come far in the whole “makeup is anti feminist” bullshit and people recognize it as expression and art. how (if at all) did people or society shame you for using makeup?
What’s your favorite and then what’s the most annoying part of filming a video of a make up look?
How does inspiration for a look typically come to you? Or does it change up
And what’re your favorite songs to listen to while putting on make up? Assuming you listen to music ofc
Totally makes sense! My second to last question, what advice would you give anyone whose feeling insecure or scared about exploring makeup artistry?
I love that!! Finally, what’s your dream makeup fantasy? It’s a vague question but I wanna see where your mind goes
